[vc_row][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_column_text]Rogatec Municipality is located in the southeastern part of Slovenia (Savinja Statistical region), close to the border with the Republic of Croatia;

it has international border crossing Dobovec and the interstate border crossing Rogatec and is approximately 40 square kilometres large. The natural and cultural heritage is especially recognisable and interesting in the municipality.  The foundational bearer of the development of tourism is represented by the rounded complex, which includes the Reneissance Baroque Strmol Mansion, the largest ethnological open-air museum, town nucleus and  equestrian centre.

A special stress in the development strategy of tourism is on the development of eco-tourism.
